Summit Marketing VP of Interactive Strategy, Lisa Qualls will be co-presenting at the 2012 UMKC Women of Color Leadership conference on May 11, 2012. The conference theme is Recognizing our Strengths: Constructing Our Reality and will showcase Mayda del Valle in the opening address. Erika Ramirez will provide the luncheon address and Kimberle Williams Crenshaw will conduct the evening conference keynote.
Ms. Qualls will co-present with Cheryl Aufdemberge from Spencer Fane Britt & Browne LLP during two afternoon sessions titled, “Are You LinkedIn? Overcome the Fear of Social Media and Technology.” The sessions will take place at the UMKC Student Union and run from 2:05 p.m. – 3:15 p.m. and 3:25 p.m. – 4:35 p.m.
Participants will:
- Learn the dos and don’ts of utilizing Social Media for professional development
- Gain a better understanding of the tools social media provides for marketing themselves and creating an online image of their skills and qualifications
- Learn how to better utilize the tools and features of their electronic devices.
- Better understand programs for storing and retrieving information.
