User-Friendly Functionality Results in Increased Hours & Registrations

The Challenge
A Salvation Army Kroc Center in the Northwest Division sought to increase its number of volunteer bell ringers, including groups, during the holiday fundraising season.

The Solution
The Kroc Center partnered with Summit Marketing to implement Register to Ring, our proprietary kettle management and volunteer platform. The user-friendly group functionality made it especially easy for companies and other community partners to sign up online.

The Results
The Kroc Center enjoyed a 47% increase in volunteer hours, with 350 bell ringers ringing for 1,604 hours. A total of 56 groups signed up to ring, which was an impressive 44% increase from the previous year. Groups rang for an average of 11 hours. An added benefit was that 159 volunteers opted in to receive additional text messages from The Salvation Army, integrating the volunteer experience and enabling them to receive communications through an additional channel.
